Our Story

Mahj Squad was founded by longtime friends Shaw Morris and Kelly Warren in the heart of Denver, Colorado. After falling in love with Mahjong, they quickly realized it was more than just a game — it was a way to connect, laugh, and create community. They knew they had to share that joy beyond their own table, and from that passion, Mahj Squad was born.

From the very beginning, their mission has been to make Mahjong approachable, social, and fun!

What started small has grown into a thriving Mahjong community across Colorado and beyond. Today, Mahj Squad is powered by an amazing team of women who share that same passion — spreading the love of the game through lessons, events, and experiences that celebrate connection as much as competition.

At Mahj Squad, love of the game, connection and fun are at the heart of it all. From private instruction and social clubs to retreats, parties, and corporate gatherings, every Mahj Squad experience is designed to bring people together in meaningful, memorable ways.
