Meet Stephanie!
A native Texan born and raised in Dallas, Stephanie recently made the move from Denver, Colorado back to the Lone Star State, now calling Houston home. When she’s not at the Mahjong table, she spends her days working full-time in the oil and gas industry as a landman. It’s a role that requires a love for people and a knack for navigating complex details—skills she finds translate perfectly to teaching the beautiful intricacies of Mahjong!
Stephanie’s own Mahj journey started with a lesson from one of The Mahj Squad’s very own founders, Shaw, and she never looked back. While she absolutely loves a fast-paced game of Siamese Mahj, her favorite way to challenge herself lately is diving into the strategy of picking lines in The Big Card's "Big Brain" section.
At home, Stephanie is a wife to David, proud mom to two kiddos, William and Sloane, and wrangler of their 5 year old Mini Goldendoodle, Ramble. Whether they are splashing in the pool or gathered around a game of Mahj, she finds her greatest joy in sharing time with her family. When she’s not sharing "Mahj magic" with her students, you can find her with an iced latte in hand, working on her latest needlepoint project, or heading to the lake for a weekend getaway. She is so excited to help you level up your strategies and find your own Mahj community, one tile at a time!
