Meet Natasha
Natasha discovered American Mahjong six years ago after her mom, who had recently become a mahjong enthusiast, taught her the game. She was instantly hooked and gathered a small group of friends to take lessons together. As her love of the game grew, so did requests from friends and neighbors to teach them. Drawing on her years of experience as a corporate trainer and her passion for bringing people together, Natasha began helping new Mahjong players build confidence while discovering a game that creates lasting friendships and community.
Originally from Arkansas, Natasha has been married to her husband, Brett, for 32 years. Brett grew up in Aspen and first brought Natasha to the Roaring Fork Valley while they were dating. Already an outdoor enthusiast, she immediately fell in love with Colorado and the Aspen lifestyle. They have two daughters and love skiing, hiking, fishing, pickleball, and spending time together in the mountains as a family.
Brett's career as a Naval aviator took the family to several places over the years, but after his military service ended and their youngest daughter graduated from high school, they began dividing their time between Aspen and Tucson, Arizona.
Natasha enjoys teaching both beginner classes and strategy sessions for more experienced players. She believes the best way to learn Mahjong is through patience, laughter, and good company. Her goal is for every student to leave feeling confident, excited to play again, and welcomed into the Mahjong community.
